Herbs for rejuvenating and smoothing the skin

Medicinal plants that can rejuvenate the skin of the face

Medicinal plants are found in many cosmetics that can be purchased in stores, but in this case they do not retain their beneficial properties for a long time. Because of this, purchased creams and masks become less effective after some time than they were at the time of purchase. You can also use medicinal plants for facial skin in their natural form, prepare decoctions, infusions and masks from them at home.

Dandelion

In cosmetology, dandelion has long been used in anti-aging procedures for facial skin. The plant also helps with dermatological problems, with its help you can remove freckles and whiten the skin of the face. The plant contains rubber substances, vitamins of groups A, B, C, E, PP, organic acids, resins, sterols and saponins.

The most effective cosmetic procedures for facial rejuvenation are masks and cosmetic ice made from dandelions.

  1. Anti-aging mask. To prepare this mask, you should take 5 ml of dandelion juice, 1 avocado, 5 grams of starch. You need to puree the avocado and then mix all the ingredients together. Apply the resulting mass on the pre-steamed face, wait 30 minutes and then rinse with cool water. The mask can be applied to the face 2 times a week. After several uses, deep and small wrinkles on the skin are visibly smoothed and the texture of the face becomes more elastic.
  2. cosmetic ice. To prepare this product, you need: 10-15 ml of dandelion juice, 50 ml of distilled water, 5 ml of hazelnut oil. All ingredients should be mixed together, poured into molds and placed in the freezer. You should clean your face with ready-made cubes, it is preferable to do this in the evening, first the skin of the face should be cleaned of makeup. The procedure should be carried out in 10-day sessions and the course of treatment should not exceed 3 times a year.

Rosemary

Rosemary easily replaces any lifting agent because it contains the HSP70 protein, which can slow down the aging process at the cellular level. In addition, the plant contains tanning substances, fatty acids, vitamins and trace elements that can heal and rejuvenate the skin.

Rosemary is most often used in the form of essential oil, which you can buy in beauty shops and pharmacies. In order to prepare cosmetics at home, you will have to grow the plant yourself, because in its natural form it is rarely found on the shelves of stores and pharmacies.

  1. Rejuvenating mask. To prepare the mask, you need to mash half a banana, then add 50 ml of avocado oil and rosemary infusion or decoction. The amount of decoction or infusion should be calculated, taking into account that the finished mask should have a consistency similar to thick sour cream. The product can be applied to the face 2-3 times a week, after which the skin becomes more elastic and wrinkles are smoothed.
  2. Decoction. To prepare the decoction, you need to take 20 grams of dry rosemary leaves, pour 200 ml of boiling water and place in a water bath for 15-20 minutes. The finished decoction should be strained before use. Take 50 ml 2 times a day.
  3. infusion. The product is made from 50 grams of plant leaves, which should be poured with a glass of boiling water and boiled for 3-4 hours, it is advisable to do this in a thermos or wrap the container with the infusion in something warm. After the prescribed period, the infusion should be filtered.

Chamomile

Chamomile contains many vitamins, trace elements and organic acids that are valuable for the body. All this together helps to rejuvenate, moisturize and whiten the skin, making it firmer and more elastic. In cosmetology, the most effective results can be achieved using chamomile decoctions and infusions.

The finished broth should be filtered and, if necessary, diluted with boiled water. The product should be washed on the face and décolleté area. After use, wrinkles on the face are noticeably reduced and smoothed.

Sage

Using sage for cosmetic purposes will help to clean the skin of the face and keep it young for a long time. The plant contains anti-aging, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic substances, which is why sage is so widely used in cosmetology.

  1. Infusion for the face. Ready infusion of sage can be used as an additive to lotions or tonics, and can also be used in the form of compresses and facial lotions. To prepare an infusion of sage, you need to pour a glass of boiling water on 3 tablespoons of dry raw materials and leave it in a thermos for 2 hours. The obtained infusion should be cooled, strained, put in the refrigerator and used as needed. You can make cosmetic cubes from this infusion - pour it into molds and put it in the freezer, wipe your face with it in the morning and evening.
  2. Decoction. Sage decoction has an effective effect on the facial skin, rejuvenating and toning it. To prepare it, pour boiling water on three tablespoons of sage and boil on low heat for another 15 minutes. The obtained product should be cooled, filtered and washed with it once a day.
